“As at 2010 when it marked its golden anniversary, Nigeria – home to more than 150 million people and Africa’s second largest economy – had some 98 million people who were living on less than $2 (or 300 naira) a day. But the figure of the poor has risen to over 100 million people in 2011, according to Director of Africa Royal Society, Mr. Richard Dowden, who was the guest lecturer at the 51st Independence Anniversary Lecture with the theme 'Nigeria in Transformation' which held in Abuja on Tuesday 27 September 2011.”

POVERTY LEVEL RISES AS ECONOMY 'GROWS', SAYS AGENCY

"From the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has come worrisome announcement that poverty is on the rise in Nigeria with more than 100 million citizens earning less than $1 per day as the gap between the rich and the poor continues to widen.

"The Statistician General of the Federation, Dr. Yomi Kale, who made the announcement in Abuja yesterday at a press briefing on 'The Nigeria Poverty Profile 2010' said the bureau had reached this position after a research it conducted that covers 'about 24 million households selected for sampling', with more than 100 million Nigerians covered in the exercise.

"'For completeness and to guide policy, NBS has also forecasted the poverty rate for 2011 using various economic models. It is important to stress at this point that these estimates are constrained by the assumption that status quo in 2010 was maintained in 2011.'

"The Statistician General further said that ‘using the relative, absolute and dollar-per-day poverty measures, NBS estimates that poverty may have further risen slightly to about 71.5%, 61.9% and 62.8% respectively in 2011’."

“In the present day Nigeria, the leadership just want to be millionaires and billionaires in one day. They want to own the best houses, the best cars, the best wives and the best everything. They want to travel all over the world aimlessly. To make matters worse, they don’t care to come spend this ill-gotten wealth in their communities.”

REDUCING POVERTY IN NIGERIA

The recent revelation that over 90% of Nigerians are living below the poverty line is symptomatic of the failure of governance in all its ramifications. In view of the nation’s bounteous natural and human resources, Nigeria should have no business with poverty. Nigerians should be assured of at least the basic necessities of life.

A society in which poverty and insecurity are endemic will always be prone to social unrest, political crises, as well as rapid changes. Poverty implies that people cannot satisfy their needs for survival and well-being, even if the goods and services are available. It is a permanent state of inequality and inequity, and until the society designs policies and strategies to overcome it nationally and internationally, no one is secure. Global development will be impaired and growth cannot be sustained if those who manage affairs and economy impoverish people in the process.

Nigeria’s problem of material poverty cannot be blamed on the part of the citizenry but on poverty of leadership. It is noteworthy that other nations whose levels of material poverty were similar to Nigeria’s at independence but which are less endowed in resources have made greater strides because they are better led. Most people never escape abject poverty. It denies them their most basic needs – foods, clothing and shelter. It can rob them of freedom, dignity, education and good health.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), poverty wields its destructive influence at every stage of human life, from the moment of conception to grave. It conspires with the most deadly and painful diseases to bring a wretched existence to all who suffer from it. The notion that “the poor are catching up” is a dangerous myth.

The United Nations General Assembly evidently hopes that human efforts can eliminate poverty when it proclaimed 1997 through 2006 as the first United Nations Decade for the Eradication of Poverty. The UN proposed to work alongside governments, peoples and institutions to foster economic development, improve access to basic services, improve the status of women, and generate income and employment.

Unfortunately, poverty, hunger and malnutrition still exist on such a huge scale that they defy political, economic and social efforts to eliminate them. Indeed, the situation is not improving but worsening. According to the WHO, poverty is the world’s deadliest disease and the biggest single underlying cause of death, disease and suffering. It is a global phenomenon.

Nigerian Tribune Editorial, 19 October 2012, page 17

None of us is truly prosperous as long as others are forced to live below the poverty level.

Directly or indirectly, our continued ignorance about money is causing long-term damage to generations of people. Whereas, the principles of making money are so surprisingly simple that you don’t even have to be intelligent or well-educated to be rich. We need no verification of that. Most of us know at least one wealthy person who is neither educated nor smart. In fact, judging by the number of poor people with Ph.D.s, higher education must actually be a hindrance to financial success.

I have learnt a lot about money over the years, and there is no doubt in my mind that financial success requires very little knowledge. If you got through the second grade, you have enough education to become a millionaire.

Trust me, when I say that the habits you need to learn in order to become a millionaire are no more complex than the rules for playing Monopoly, you may ask, "If the principles are really that simple, why aren’t they taught in school?"

Fact is, if everyone knew the principles of money, education would be forced to let go of its biggest lie – that you have to go to school to be successful. That lie could be the most successful PR job in the history of advertising. People have continued to believe it in spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Nobody has ever proved that there is any direct correlation between formal education and success. Quite to the contrary!

Many successful people were quite unsuccessful in school. Former American President Abraham Lincoln had less than a year of formal education. Another former American President Harry Truman never went to college at all. George Bernard Shaw left school at the age of 16; as did John Major, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The recent richest man in the world for 13 years, Bill Gates, also dropped out at 16.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI, If You Want to Be Rich and Happy, Don’t Go to School?

Worldwide, about 1.4 billion people live on $1.25 (i.e.₦200) or less a day,
and 25,000 children die daily because of poverty.
Awake! May 2012 p.5

As at 2013, some 3 billion people live on less than $2 per day (i.e.₦300) while 1.3 billion get by on less than $1 per day. Seventy percent of those living on less than $1 per day are women.
John Chow, The Ultimate Online Profit Model p.47

Many millionaires had difficult, impoverished childhood. They felt humiliated by their inferior social status. Their desire to rise above poverty and never to be penniless again was so intense that it helped them become wealthy.

A precocious and highly intelligent child, he went on to attend an elite secondary school before taking up a place at America’s most famous university. He went to Harvard, he said, to learn from people smarter than he was ... and was disappointed. Bill Gates has spent his whole life among very smart people and has a low tolerance for those whose intellect he does not respect.

But bright as he is, Gates does not try to take the credit for all of Microsoft’s success. His willingness to acknowledge the talent of others in his field is crucial. As Fortune magazine observed, “Microsoft has been led by a man widely recognised as a genius in his own right, who has had the foresight to recognise the genius in others.”

Microsoft has always paid its employees salaries that are lower than its rivals but, through stock options, Bill Gates has made more people millionaires than any other entrepreneur in history. As one commentator observed, “Microsoft is singular in that its campus is a place unlike any other workplace in the world, at any other time in history, where several thousand millionaires, multimillionaires and multibillionaires continue to clomp to work each day.”

A Wall Street firm calculated that no fewer than 2,200 developers in
Microsoft’s Class of 1989 became millionaires in just two years. But perhaps the most telling test of the Microsoft culture is that so many of
the original employees are still there. A lot of people in their late 20s and early 30s have become millionaires through taking advantage of the company’s stock options. They could easily retire, but they don’t.

On the subject of inheritance, Bill Gates is on record as saying he will not leave more than $10 million to any of his three children. His billionaire buddy Warren Buffett has been notoriously tight-fisted with his three sons, and has told them to expect little when he dies. He says he will give 99% of his wealth to charity.

PROSPERITY PASTORS MAKE MONEY WORK IN NIGERIA [PP.MM.WIN]

“Like most people, we were also taught that if we got good educations and good jobs with good benefits, we’d be set for life. But it just wasn’t working out that way....Our jobs, and the stress that went along with them, had become quite frustrating. All of it was starting to get us down, and it was tiresome always having someone else telling us what to do.”
JONATHAN WEATHERBY in The Parable of the Homemade Millionaire p. 15

The master in the Parable of Talent made his money to work for him and the Bible says ‘he went on a long journey’.
In the United States of America, entrepreneurs represent 99.7% of all employers. I believe very sincerely that Nigeria has come to a point where there should be no JOB SEEKERS and unemployed people again. There should always be people who will provide the jobs.
We are redefining what being a role model is in DaystarNG.org by being entrepreneurs. Being an entrepreneur is being a pioneer, creative, innovative someone who provides new services and products. Entrepreneurs CREATE JOBS for other people and bring down unemployment rate.
In the United States, for instance, it is not the government that creates jobs but the people. Entrepreneurs there employ about 53% of the private workforce, generate 47% of all sales, provide 55% of innovation and represent 96% of all exporters.
PASTOR SAM ADEYEMI, It Pays To Be An Entrepreneur, SuccessDigest 25 July 2011 p. 3

The poverty in our environment makes us believe that the person in SALARIED EMPLOYMENT with a cute official car is rich. However, if such people lose their jobs today they usually become broke after six months.
PASTOR SAM ADEYEMI, Financial Standard 31 May 2004 p. iii SR

Jobs are exactly what they describe themselves to be. They help you put food on your table but never make you financially free. Someone has said that the acronym of JOB is ‘Just Over Broke’.
A SALARIED JOB keeps you just over broke. No one ever experiences incredible financial freedom by merely keeping a job. It is hard to come by people who have become millionaires through a job. Financial freedom also eludes people who do not know how to make money work.
PASTOR MATTHEW ASHIMOLOWO, Be The Best: Rising Beyond Mediocrity p. 87

Rich people don’t work for anybody. They work for themselves. They are not SALARY EARNERS. If they are salary earners, they are salary earners in their own companies.
PASTOR OLUMIDE EMMANUEL, City People 24 August 2011 p. 43

Entrepreneurship brings the promise of joy and riches few others will ever enjoy
working, as they do, in somebody else’s business – the job as it is called.
The job is the place where the life is taken out of us one day at a time,
where our hearts become deadened, where the thrill of new ideas
is most often met with a deaf ear, where creativity is most often nonexistent,
and where passion is reduced to the thrill of knowing the weekend is
just around the corner. Thank God for the weekend! What a limited world!
MICHAEL E. GERBER in The Millionaire Maker’s Guide to Creating a Cash Machine for Life p.xii

Your boss’s job is to give you a job. It is your job to make yourself rich.
Minding your business is not hard to do. It is just common sense.
    ROBERT KIYOSAKI

Twenty-five years ago, I listened to Professor Oluwole Awokoya gave a lecture in Molusi College. ‘No university graduate, particularly if scientific, should GO ROUND LOOKING FOR JOBS,’ he said. ‘University graduates should be CREATORS OF JOBS for the less privileged others who never had the fortune of going to the university.’ Our university undergraduates throughout the nation sneered at his idea. We have all become much wiser since.
If we want to rescue ourselves from POVERTY AND SHAME, we have no option to becoming self-reliant. The lawyer who wants to make a niche for himself in the annals of Nigerian history does not join the civil service. G.O.K. Ajayis, Rotimi Williamses, Dr. Olu Onagoruwas, Kehinde Sofolas and Gani Fawehinmis are made only in the rough and tumble of getting established on their own.
The best doctors in the United States are not in the civil service. They are all in private practice. When government hospitals need specialists, they know which private clinics they can apply to to hire their services.
Young men and women entering the 21st century with a resolution to enter the civil service would live a lifetime of sinecurism and die with their limbs atrophied by disuse. My greatest mission to the Nigerian youths, therefore, is to make them realise that they would be happiest keeping away from the public service.
I don’t want you to get me wrong. When the country is going on well, every boy and every girl would go through the armed forces. Though there are in human society certain individuals who are happiest being ordered around. Those are the materials best suited for the civil service. The civil service is not for the man with initiatives. It is not for the man with ideas. All ideas in the civil service have been carved out and wrapped in the General Orders – the bible for the man who had no ideas of his own. That is why you do not get Americans going into the civil service.

DR. TAI SOLARIN, Education for Greatness 2

BECOMING YOUR OWN BOSS is one of the best things that can happen to any individual. In December 1983, after I read Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and I kept my mind focused on what the great Tai Solarin had said in one of his essays that I had read, I became convinced that I had to GO INTO BUSINESS FOR MYSELF. At the time I took this decision, I didn’t have a savings account, not a kobo set aside somewhere and nobody in the whole wide world that I had in mind to finance my dream.
DR. SUNNY OBAZU-OJEAGBASE, Publisher of SuccessDigest & Complete Sports
    SuccessDigest, June 1999 p. 12

It is better to be an entrepreneur and create your own future,
your own brand, driven by your own vision and philosophy
rather than spend your entire life slaving for another person
and retire in the end in penury.
    MIKE AWOYINFA

It is often said that the responsibility of an entrepreneur is to make a better product at a better price. I think it is something greater than that. The job of an entrepreneur is to better serve more people and to make the world a better place. Sometimes that means we solve a problem and sometimes it means we bring enlightenment.
ROBERT KIYOSAKI, Facebook 30 October 2013

Entrepreneurship,” says Sir Richard Branson, “is the golden highway to economic freedom, plus it is an exciting and fun way to make a living.” When Oprah Winfrey was still very young, growing up surrounded by poverty, she claimed that she was going to be a millionaire by the time she turned 32. She didn’t base her future on her past, or her present “reality”. And she didn’t wander along with a “we will see…” attitude, just taking whatever came her way. She made a bold claim and set her mind on a very clear and quantifiable goal. Though her goal may have seemed laughable at the time to some, she headed in the direction of her dreams to create it for herself, never expecting anyone else to hand her that million dollars. Now who is laughing all the way to the bank?
CHRISTOPHER HOWARD, Building Wealth Like a Billionaire pp. 2&6

“It is within everyone’s grasp to be a CEO.” Martha Stewart

Do you know that no one comes out of the womb a financial genius? Every rich person learnt how to succeed at the money game, and so you can. Yet, there is more to wealth than just learning about money.

But until poverty prevention is more effectively targeted,
poverty reduction will, at best, be a transient gain.

Now, some of the benefits easily enjoyed by honest millionaires which are unaffordable to the poor folks of this world are:
qualitative education at private institutions of learning,
    access to excellent health facilities,
    21st century compliant accommodation,

Happily, Nigeria is too rich for Nigerians to be poor.

“Don’t ever join the bandwagon of whoever complains, saying ‘There is no money’. There is enough money in Nigeria to make you a millionaire. Do not keep company with those who are spiritually backward. Do you know that some people are yet to receive the light of the Gospel that has shone on certain dark areas in the sixties and seventies? For instance, if you belong to the group of people who believe that financial or material poverty is a necessary condition to making it to Heaven, you are sleeping, probably spiritually dead. It is like somebody clinging tenaciously to the typewriter with all its limitations in the age of computers and the internet. Stop limiting yourself!”

Whether you think you can become a millionaire
or you think you can’t become a millionaire,
    you’re right either way.

In spite of Reverend Albert Aina’s observation that 96% of Nigerians are among the 300 million Africans who are too poor to survive on 300 naira a day in his 2007 bestseller How to Make Your First Million; and despite the 2010 Global Monitoring Report of UNESCO that 92% of the Nigerian population are presently surviving on less than 2 dollars (or 300 naira) a day according to a July 2010 article by the former Chairman of the Editorial Board of ThisDay newspaper, Bisi Ojediran, entitled “Nigeria’s Rich…and the Poor”, a chartered accountant cum chartered stockbroker, Mrs. Hauwa Audu authored a thought-provoking book aptly titled Can Every Nigerian Be a Millionaire? in which she asked a million naira question on its page 28 and answered it herself.

“Can every Nigerian be a millionaire? That is, for every Nigerian to serve God with his money, be debt-free, and still have surplus to live on comfortably?

“Yes, it is possible for every Nigerian to become a millionaire! This is because to become a millionaire does not depend on your background, neither does it depend on whether you made a first class in school, nor on how hard you work. It does not depend on luck or looks either, but on the operation of certain principles of wealth creation. And principles work for everyone, under every circumstance, if correctly applied.

“If all Nigerians are taught these principles of wealth creation, they will realise that the most effective way to eradicate poverty is by learning and putting these principles to work.”

“Today, 1.3 billion people earn less than a dollar (or 150 naira a day). Half of the world’s population lives on less than 2 dollars (or 300 naira) a day. Compared with them, you are already so wealthy that it is only in comparing your house or car or job to the rich elite in your own city or country that you might feel poor. But to the rest of the world, YOU are the elite rich.”

MARK VICTOR HANSEN & ROBERT G. ALLEN, Cracking the Millionaire Code

NOW, IF 10 NAIRA X 10 DAYS = 100 NAIRA FOR THE POOR
    AND 1,000 NAIRA X 1,000 DAYS = 1,000,000 NAIRA FOR THE RICH,
CAN EVERY NIGERIAN BE A MILLIONAIRE
AND BECOME A MILLIONAIRE GOD’S WAY?

YES! YOU CAN BECOME A GODLY MILLIONAIRE
IN 3 YEARS ONLY AT MILLIONAIREWORKERS.COM

“Give me a man or woman who has read a thousand books

and you give me an interesting companion.

Give me a man or woman who has read perhaps three books

and you give me a dangerous enemy indeed.

    ANNE RICE, The Witching Hour

"All of the books that we will ever need to make us as rich, as healthy, as happy, as powerful, as sophisticated and as successful as we want to be have already been written. People from all walks of life, people with some of the most incredible life experiences, people that have gone from pennies to fortune and from failure to success have taken the time to write down their experiences so that we might share in their wealth of knowledge.

"They have offered their wisdom and experience so that we can be inspired by it and instructed by it, and so that we can amend our philosophy by it. Their contributions enable us to reset our sail based upon their experiences. They have handed us the gift of their insights so that we can change our plans, if need be, in order to avoid their errors. We can rearrange our lives based on their wise advice.

"All of the insights that we might ever need have already been captured by others in books. The important question is this: In the last ninety days, with this treasure of information that could change our lives, our fortunes, our relationships, our health, our children and our careers for the better, how many books have we read? Why do we neglect to read the books that can change our lives? Why do we complain but remain the same?"

JIM ROHN in Inside the Millionaire Mindset

“These are my last requests. I am leaving you all the books in my library. Some people believe that books are utterly worthless. They believe that they themselves are reinventing the world. And since they have not benefited from the knowledge found in books, they unfortunately repeat the mistakes made by their forefathers. In this way, they waste a lot of time and a lot of money.
On the other hand, don’t fall into the trap of trusting implicitly in what books contain, letting those who came before you do your thinking for you. Retain only what outlasts the passage of time.”                                                           MARK FISHER, The Instant Millionaire

    Book is my Life
I’m the Prince of Peace in the Great Book
The Beloved in the Good Book
Wealth Reincarnate in the Book of Oracle
    Book is Life

My first book Education for Greatness 1 is recommended to you by Dr. Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase on page 217 of his national bestseller How to Make It in Nigeria: Building Your Wealth From Ground Floor Up whose Chapter 7 is entitled “How to Go From Flat Broke to a Millionaire”, while I was also given the privilege of a full page interview on page 51 of his life-changing magazine SuccessDigest of May 2003 with the title “Thanks to SuccessDigest, I’m a Fulfilled Consultant”. Email me any question about this site via consultant@millionaireworkers.com now!

Here is one of the mentoring lessons Dr. Sunny Obazu-Ojeagbase taught me: “The next set of millionaires in this millennium will make their millions on the internet. That is not a prediction. It is already happening. And they are not 50-year-olds like me. They are kids fresh out of their nappies: kids from ages 19 to 29. They are everywhere all over America. I’m not telling you this so that you can applaud them. I’m drawing your attention to them so that you can emulate them. Yes, I want you to become one of them; the ones they call Internet Millionaires.

“So if you want to be a millionaire in this millennium, look no further, the internet will make you one many times over. That is guaranteed. If, however, you are not a millionaire at the end of this millennium, you have no one but yourself to blame. That is the blunt truth. And trust me to tell you the way it is.”

"Today, we have kids who are not yet out of high school who are making millions on the web. They have not yet have a job and may never have to look for one. The idea of a job is an idea born out of the Industrial Age. Anyone clinging to the old Industrial Age rules will financially fall behind those who adjust to the new rules of the Information Age – and believe me, the rules are different.
If you are clinging to the idea of job security, automatic pay rises and seniority, you are clinging to the rules created in the Industrial Age. The good news is that there has never been more opportunity to gain tremendous wealth. But to gain that wealth, the price is that you may have to change.
Due to the internet, change is now democratic. Everyone has to change or pay the price of falling behind, slowly but surely. The good news is that we all have the power to get us through this change, if we want to access this power."
ROBERT KIYOSAKI, Guide to Becoming Rich p.74

"Technology, in particular the internet, has long been the best bet for getting rich at a young age. Bill Gates of Microsoft Corporation made his debut on the young rich list of America in 1986 at age 30 with a net worth of $315 million. Michael Dell of Dell Computers debuted at age 26; 19 years later, he was still among the list's 20 youngest. So too for Yahoo’s David Filo and Jerry Yang, who first made the ranks a dozen years ago. Indeed half of the 20 youngest American billionaires have made their fortunes in the tech industry, mostly via the internet."
    FORBES Magazine, 8 October 2010

"Today you can start a business without an office, with no employees, no raw materials and still MAKE MILLIONS! All you need is a great idea and you can then use the power of the Internet to take on the big boys and reach out to a billion-dollar market worldwide. Why? Because the hottest-selling products today are information-based products like specialized knowledge, software and technology which can be delivered instantly online! And you can easily start this lucrative business part-time, FROM HOME, while still keeping your full-time job. Isn’t it time you learnt how to take advantage of this fantastic opportunity and become an entrepreneur today?"
ADAM KHOO, Secrets of Self-Made Millionaires p.148

“Most people think that millionaires are very special people who are unique in their talents and gifts for making money. But this is simply not true. In fact, oftentimes millionaires start out as plain everyday working people, just like you and me.”                        GEORGE STERNE

“People often believe that there is not enough wealth to go around. The opposite is true. There are more millionaires today than ever before. The overall wealth and prosperity of humankind is greater now than ever before. Wealth creates more wealth. The more wealthy people there are, the more possibility there is for more people to get wealthy. While poor people believe in scarcity, wealthy people believe in abundance.”                       LESLIE FIEGER LESLIE FIEGER

“There is enough prosperity, enough money in the universe right now for each of the seven billion people who are alive today to become millionaires – with ample resources left over for their children yet to be born to also become millionaires.”                        BUCKMINSTER FULLER

Worldwide, about 1.4 billion people live on $1.25 or less a day,
and 25,000 children die daily because of poverty.
    Awake! May 2012 p.5

“One of the greatest inventors and philosophers of our time, Buckminster Fuller, said: ‘The purpose of our lives is to add value to the people of this generation and those that follow.’ We each came to this Earth with natural talents, things we’re just naturally good at. These gifts were given to you for a reason: to use and share with others. Research shows that the happiest people are those who use their natural talents to the utmost. Part of your mission in life then must be to share your gifts and values with as many people as possible.”
    T. HARV EKER, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind

“We are not here merely to make a living. We are here to enrich the world.”
WOODROW WILSON in The Faith-Based Millionaire

“There are enough needs available to facilitate everyone in the world becoming a millionaire.”

“People have called me to say they never expected to be millionaires but are now multimillionaires. Once you reach a certain stage in life, it is not the making of money that matters again but your achievements. It is what you can add to your society that really matters. You see, there is money and there is wealth. Wealth is what other people benefit from. Once you have wealth, whether you like it or not, people will have to benefit from you.
When I started business in 1977 I had less than ₦200,000 of my own money. I was given a loan of about ₦500,000 by my late granddad to be paid back in a period of two years. At that time, when I first came to Lagos, I was in cement business. The business was quite good. Let me explain how ₦500,000 was then. When we are talking about ₦500,000 it is like you buying 100 Mercedes. Because, at that time, I remember my first Mercedes – the very first car I bought was ₦5,800 – a brand new air conditioned Benz. So, you now have to imagine what ₦500,000 could do.
I repaid my grandfather about three months after arriving Lagos because I realised how lucrative the business was. I made a lot of money. I became a millionaire towards the end of 1977 (at 20). My first house was given to me by my grandfather when I was about 15 years and I bought my first jet in 1981 (at the age of 24) – I bought it $1.6 million.
People don’t even know what Nigeria is all about. It is my country and I have faith in her. God loves Nigeria and there is no country in the world in which you can make more money than in Nigeria. I don’t want to be the richest man in Nigeria. If there are a couple of us, it is good for the country.”
ALIKO DANGOTE, World's 64th Most Powerful Man & Africa’s Richest Man

“Which country is predicted by some to have the highest average GDP growth in the world over the next 40 years? You might think Brazil, Russia, India or China. No. Think Africa. Think Nigeria.”
    DAVID CAMERON, British Prime Minister

God bless you. God bless Nigeria.

We have every cause to bless the name of the Lord today and every day because we are a blessed country, we are a lucky country; we are a country that should not lack anything.
We are God’s own country, a country endowed with everything such that other countries are even jealous of us. We are the children of the Most High whose land abounds with the richness of oil. The poet S.T. Coleridge writes of “water, water everywhere and not enough to drink”. But here in Nigeria, it is the case of oil, oil everywhere and not enough to take care of its people because wealth is in the hands of the rich, greedy, favoured few.
All is not lost in Nigeria, however. The future is for us to change. “We have it in our power to begin the world over again,” writes Thomas Paine in his book, Common Sense. We still have our destiny in our hands and Nigeria is for us to change for good. Nigeria would change for good. It will. Whether they like it or not, we, the people, will change Nigeria for good.
